18Lab Golf began with a passion for the game and a vision to bring professional-level golf technology to Northeast Ohio. Founded by Steve Pacino, a lifelong Cleveland golf enthusiast, 18Lab represents the culmination of a dream to create a premier golf performance center where players of all skill levels can improve their game using the same advanced tools trusted by tour professionals.
Growing up in Bedford Heights in the late 80s and early 90s, Steve was initially more focused on Cleveland sports teams than golf. That changed in the summer of 1992 when he became a caddy at Hawthorne Valley Country Club in Solon, less than a mile from his parents’ house. The golf bug bit him, and what started as a hobby eventually became his business.
After 20 years in corporate America, Steve decided it was time to change direction and bring his golf vision to Northeast Ohio. Throughout his golfing journey, he has taken lessons from some of America’s top golf instructors including Mike Bender, Stan Utley, Kyle Morris, Jeff Coston, Ben Curtis, and Jimmy Hanlin—all who have helped him improve his game.
18Lab Golf features a 7,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility in Westlake equipped with six Trackman bays, Sportsbox AI technology, and Northeast Ohio’s only PuttView green. We’ve created an environment where technology meets community, giving golfers access to the same tools used by PGA tour professionals in a comfortable, welcoming space designed for year-round improvement.
